Let's pay it forward
As 'seasoned' Registered Nurses our experiences during the COVID-19 epidemic, working in the epicenter of NYC, focused us in on what we wanted to do for the rest of our lives. Wearing masks for 8 -12 hours was a truly unpleasant experience as hundreds and thousands of our professional brothers and sisters who worked through those days will testify to.
Where we are today, is down to MrsNurse. After many weeks working with COVID -19 patients she was feeling very depressed, and not looking forward to another day as she changed into her scrubs. As she put her bag into the locker, her Lavender essential oil bottle fell onto the floor. She picked it up (luckily not broken) and put a drop of Lavender Oil on her mask. Her whole day was transformed by the fragrance from the Lavender oil on her mask, it brought calmness, reduced her anxiety and stress.
The following day at work she did the same thing with the oil, however this time other nurses and physicians noticed and asked if she would GIVE them a drop in their masks too. Over the next few weeks nurses started stopping her and asking if she had any oils with her.
We both love to GIVE and so one evening we started to formulate a business plan with the main focus on paying it forward and GIFTING. We didn't just want to be another essential oil company, we wanted to do more. We wanted to create a business model that would provide customers with amazing oils and at the same time thank and reward nurses and healthcare workers for their incredible dedication to healing the sick and injured?
We spent months discussing ideas, calling each other on the way to work, before our shifts started, lunchtimes, over meals, waking up in the middle night, it was all consuming as to how we could combine two passions, nursing + essential oils and truly make a difference.
We called rural tree and plant farms from around the world that produce quality oils... We spoke to importers, distributors, packaging companies, label makers, etc etc... Finally we were able to get to a point where we could bring you, 100% pure and natural essential oils at a price point where you can enjoy them and GIFT one to a healthcare professional.
