Please store our bottles out of the reach of children, additionaly we suggest placing them in an area that is cool and dark.
There are varying opinions at what age to use essential oils on children. MrandMrsNurse suggest only using essential oils on children with great care and making sure you are diluting the oils correctly. If you're unsure seek advice and instructions from a licensed medical practitioner

Guidelines and Tips

Dilute for topical use. Always, always, always dilute essential oils with a carrier oil, such as coconut oil or almond oil, when topically applying them on a child. Their skin is more sensitive and using oils “neat” can lead to sensitivities and rashes.

Diffuse oils for aromatic use. When diffusing oils, use a diffuser that is made for essential oils.

Don’t put oils in humidifiers or nebulizers as those aren’t made of plastics with a high enough grade to not be ruined by the oils. When diffusing oils for yourself or your children, make sure air can flow – either diffuse in a large open room, or keep doors open in bedrooms or other smaller rooms.
Never ever put essential oils directly in the ears, eyes or nose. When applying essential oils topically on children, make sure they can’t touch the oils and then accidentally rub their eyes. If that ever happens, use fractionated coconut oil to ease the burn.

ALWAYS test a small area before using a new single oil or blend.

Essential Oils and Children
Essential oils are pure aromatic plant essences. They are distilled from flowers, fruit, leaves, resins, roots, seeds, and wood – and are used for their healing properties the world over. Some essential oils are suitable for children; others are not suitable for children and some are even dangerous to children (children with epilepsy should not come in contact with stimulating essential oils).

Essential Oils are not always entirely safe for use on baby skin, and each Essential Oil that is considered to be relatively “safe” should also be used with extreme care. The majority of reports caution parents against using Essential Oils on babies younger than 3 months, while others suggest avoiding their use on all babies younger than 6 months old, as topical products penetrate more easily into the skin of infants of this age.

It is of utmost importance to consult with a medical practitioner before using Essential Oils during pregnancy or on or near babies.

Any potential reactions are often experienced within the first 30 minutes of application, whether diffused or applied to the skin, but it is recommended to wait 24 hours before using the skin-tested oil in the preferred manner.

MrandMrsNurse strive to provide knowledge and evidence based studies that show the effectiveness of essential oils for health and wellness. When used correctly, essential oils can be of great benefit, and will not conflict with a child’s medically prescribed drugs. Always research the oil of choice thoroughly before using with your infant or child, and ask advice from a qualified practitioner.
