Originating from Australia and steam distilled from the wood of the Sandalwood tree, Sandalwood Australian is a precious oil, and along with Rose Geranium, one of our more expensive botanicals, but once tried, you'll see why it has been cherished for centuries by all its users, and that's why MrandMrsNurse offer it in our #23 collection.
The best Sandalwood oil is produced from trees that are around 50 to 70 years old or more. This is the age when the Sandalwood tree fully matures, and its heartwood is rich with the lovely aromatic oil. The Sandalwood tree is then carefully uprooted during the monsoons because even the roots have a good amount of oil.

Sandalwood and its oil are prized in the field of alternative medicine. It’s traditionally used to treat a variety of conditions.
Sandalwood Essential Oil and its use for both medicinal and cosmetic benefits have been recorded for over 4,000 years, making it among the oldest-known materials.
HISTORY AND BENEFITS OF SANDALWOOD AUSTRALIAN
Australian Sandalwood, Santalum spicatum, is widely used by aromatherapists and perfumers around the world.
Sandalwood Australian is a gentle oil, effective for skin care, relieving tension, and calming agitated emotions. Sandalwood Australian’s components are perfect to help reduce oily skin and skin blemishes. Its rich, woodsy scent is strong, but has a hint of sweetness that makes this oil a dream to the senses. When diffused or inhaled, it is a favorite for meditation to help relax the mind from the worries of everyday life.
Sandalwood oil is found in many perfumes and air fresheners. It’s a classic scent from a valuable tree. But the value of Sandalwood oil may go beyond smell. Sandalwood may offer some health benefits as well. 100% pure and natural Sandalwood oils are occasionally hard to find and not widely available, however MrandMrsNurse LLC have worked hard to gain access to these hard to find oils and our goal is to distribute the finest botanicals from around the world. Yes, sometimes depending on the season and production, Sandalwood Australian can be expensive, but isn't that the same for many things in life worth experiencing?
Sandalwood Australian, Santalum spicatum, is presently being produced in a sustainable, environmentally-responsible manner through ethically managed plantations. Western Australia is home to the world's largest sustainable Sandalwood reserve - 1.6 million kilometers, or roughly 3 times the size of France. Efforts are also underway to involve Aboriginal communities in equitable business partnerships that will provide income to these ancient indigenous residents as well as position them to accept greater responsibly over the environmental management of this valuable native resource. In addition, Australian Sandalwood harvests are subject to strict governmental regulation and oversight by the WA Department of Environment and Conservation.
